We still need points!
Everything was set for a fantastic day at Ewood yesterday, the weather and the atmosphere were great. But it was not what we had hoped for after a fantastic match away against Arsenal.
There are both positive and negative things to look at. The negative side irritates the most. We could not grab the opportunity to take a BIG step away from the bottom three. We were unable to produce enough and we didn’t make the most of the chances we had . AND once again we just didn’t have the margins on our side. Birmingham’s goal was offside, we hit the crossbar and they saved on the line.
The positive is that we got back in the game. Nice and cool of Junior ,who has really had a breakthrough this year! GREAT:-) Finally it was all up to us and we should have won the game.Unfortunately we did not!
My own effort was not the best of the year. Maybe because I’ve been “signed off “for a few days, although it is no excuse. We all have to sharpen for the Everton game away! I was pleased with most of my setpieces, which also caused some problems for them.
This week we will prepare properly for the Everton game. The remaining matches will not be any beauty contests. We will FIGHT like lions!!
Thank’s to all the supporters that never give up!
One for all, all for one!
Hope you had a nice Sunday. Today I have enjoyed the nice weather here in Manchester:-)

Well said
You did really well yesterday morten! I was sat in the Darwin End and i thought you’d scored directly from a corner but unfortunatly not :’( Hahaaaa

x should email me and il give u my number maybe we could meet up
xxx anyways thanks so much love you loads <3 xx
Morten , I saw the guy on the Riverside giving you the abuse yesterday and it was way out of order . Just ignore muppets like that and continue giving your best to get us out of the mess we are in .
Thanks morten but PLEASE thank Mr Dunn he played his heart out yesterday
Keep the faith!
C’mon you blues!
Gutted, that referee OMG.
Kalinic and Givet in the team next week and we might have a chance! I’ll be at Goodison anyways Morten!
Not one win in the last NINE games and still Steve Kean has the nerve to say how good blackburn’s spirit is… The man has no idea. We should be putting games like this away, 3 -1 easily… Really tired of hearing apologies and excuses every week… really tired… !!!
Will we still be looking for positives in the summer if we go down? Saying how great our spirit was and how well training was? A win was what was demanded. Not hoped for, demanded. Also, can someone in the squad please get that moron Kean to get Kalinic on the pitch?! He is our top scorer, our best striker and Venkys’ yes-man refuses to select him for even the bench? Bad times.
Was pleased to see you playing on Saturday, am looking forward to seeing one of those corners go in one day! Could somebody please tell Kean to give some grief to the refereeing decisions publicly, this is the third game in a row, peppered with match changing decisions that have gone against us…….. Keep it up Morten you are a crucial player!
1 point is better than nothing. keep it up Morten. U’re great player after all… I really hope “triple W” “West ham, Wigan & Wolve” will be relegated & not us…..
Har blogget om deg på bloggen min!
hihi! Dere kommer til å få flere poeng, det vedder jeg på!
http://www.itsinspiration.blogg.no! (Hadde vært kjempe kult om du kommenterte! Hadde blitt helt gal av glede!) hahah
Not trying to be negative morten but it’s the same excuses all the time you say every week we will train wel and i believe you but when it comes to the game’s Kean has no idea how to produce maybe a good Coach but manger material i think not. It is a long time now since we actualy won a game, ahh thinking back to the days when Rovers would actually win a game under Sam Allardyce apart from the win at West Brom, Morten where are these points gonna going to come from because i’m very concerned right now. good fight against Arsenal but where was the fight against Birmingham, the ambition and the passion its so frustrating turning up at Ewood and seeing that i hope you and the rest of the squad turn it round probably first step stop listening to Steve Kean and play the way the team knows best Good Luck Gamst and the team we need to get out of this!!!
Morten well done for trying to put that corner in almost caught Foster out just keep doing what you’re doing and we should be ok & try your best with Kean to give Kalinic & Givet a chance after all Kalinic is our top scorer good luck with the rest of the games & c u at wolves
you played really well on saturday morten!!!!!! gutted you didnt score from that corner!!! thought you might!!!
good luck for you and the team for the match against Everton!!!!! we REALLY need a win!!!! amongst other fans i am really concerned about were we are going to get these points!!!!!!! why isnt Kalanic playing??????????? if kean put him on alongside you for the full 90 minutes we may get a win!!!!!! but then again 1 point is miles better than no points at all!!!!! fingers crossed we win!! x good luck!!!
Morten, I love your blog you are so honest it is brilliant to read. I really hope we can start to get some big points on the table and with our track record with West Ham we will need to look at Everton to get any points away from home, I don’t really want to have to rely on the Wolves game to get some points. I hope your positivity can go through the team and the rest of the lions can roar to the finish line and secure our safety. x
on the plus side we’re getting back to being hard to beat again 3 draws at least we’re not losing now just need to turn then into wins. no reason we can’t go to everton and get something this weekend. fingers crossed we don’t get ANOTHER bad ref decsion!!!!. good luck xx
We couldn’t help it. It is hard to play against twelve men. But putting that aside we need someone up front who can put the ball in the back of the net, you Morten and Hoilet seem to be the best at it lets get some wins. We havnt won since West Brom it isn’t good enough. Come On Lads!!!
