Some Special visitors
At the game yesterday and the training today the new owners came and visited us. They are very nice and they are well updated in English football and Blackburn Rovers. They arrived at Ewood Park yesterday before the game, and they came in the locker room and wished us good luck. And today they came to the training ground and got a tour of the facilities. It’s nice that they take the time to see how we are doing and how we work. They seem genuinely interested and was very interested in how we prepare ourselves to games and how we worked on the training field. They were very happy with the game yesterday even though the result was not what we hoped for, but during the conversation today they showed that they have very good understanding of football and saw through the results and focused on the performance. They give us the feeling that they stand behind us in what we do and it’s a good feeling and confirmation that the club is in the development and safe hands.

What do you think about Wankys forcing out John Williams?
Hi Morten, firstly well done on the blog, it’s a great way of speaking directly to the fans and I know I’m one of many avid followers. But can I make a request? You may have noticed that a number of fans don’t like Keith Andrews… Can we have your thoughts? Personally I do feel sorry for him, and I certainly don’t think it does the team or him any favours when he is booed but Ince was wrong in bringing him to Rovers as he clearly isn’t up to scratch. But then why does he keep getting selected? Can you tell us blog followers what your opinion of him and the fans’ reactions to him are? Thanks and keep up the good work.
If Torres is worth £50m, and Carroll is worth £35m, how much is Jason Roberts worth?
20 quid?
I jest. Considering we bought him for an undisclosed fee which was believed to be between £2 and 2.5 million, and Andy Carroll was sold for around 5 times what he’s probably worth considering he has half a season premiership experience and could very well be a one hit wonder… I’d say (taking into account Roberts has aged a little since we signed him) he’s probably worth about £5million. That’s based on a value of £1 million, multiplied by 5. As you can see, I’m quite good at maths.
But, Matt, the question is… how much is he worth to you?
Matt: Jason is currently trading on the NASDAQ at $1.14 a share which makes him more valuable than tungsten, sugar cane and the back catalogue of Diana Ross. To take a controlling interest in Jason would cost $3.2m at current prices.
Jason Roberts worth 5mil hahahahahahahaa not even worth 1 mil…
i dont think anyone in the Blackburn team is worth 5 mil apart from Robbo - i love Robbo xx
Of course, Richard, you are right… a schoolboy error on my behalf not to bring up the NASDAQ. However, have you factored in the January increase in prices due to the combination of Seasonal Affective Disorder and Bi-Polar in club chairmen?
Love the NASDAQ references, good fun.
Hey, Morton: any thoughts from the players on JW’s exit? I figure you’ll probably have something up here soon. I know its a new direction Rovers are heading in, but still a very sad day in Blackburn seeing Rovers #2 fan leaving. Hope to hear his name sung round the ground v Wigan. Rovers legend - John Williams.
Amy - what a thick post!
