Incredibly annoying to lose this match, but we can not make such mistakes as we did today. It is simply not allowed to make mistakes like the one that led to Bolton’s second goal. We have several chances in the last quarter to tilt the match in our favor, and when we finally create balance in the accounts with Mames scoring, we defend like we played the corporate football. Incredibly disappointing

Det var dumt da
Får håpe det går bedre neste gang
Chin up Morten…some winnable games coming up
That was one of them, Luca.
Ps Morten I don’t mean to moan too much on your blog and I’m certainly not taking a shot at you. But as a season ticket holder and a paying fan to many away games (today and United included) it just gets me very annoyed and I almost hope you might pass on what I say to the dressing room :p
Mitten, why do you keep floating in the corners? They don’t work very well and tour driven ones work far far better! As for the long throw ins, 1 league goal in 2 seasons of trying them! :-/
^ I do agree with what Dan said about the corners. As for the long-throws it’s clearly not Morten’s fault if Sam Allardyce wishes to employ them!
Josh…you could say this game was winnable, but Bolton are playing well and our away form isn’t all that great. We have some must-win home games coming up.
Don’t worry morten..Use ur anger as a drive to win the next game.Just do ur best and cheer up aight
Take careee!
Hallo, va på kampen i dag, virka som dokker sleit med å komme etter med laget når dokker hadde ballen. I tillegg syntes æ det gikk litt sakte med dokker. Enig der? Hilsen en tromsøværing!
well i say, bad luck!
Our fans were great today was a bit annoyed that as i was celebrating i turned around and saw them score again
our finishing was poor today i think we were let down !
Hvordan er det å spille foran så mange mennesker? Er det et stort press før kampene, og hvordan forbreder du deg før en storkamp?
The ultimate sucker punch! The team really didn’t play well at times, the finishing could have been so much better.
It was bewildering and frustrating today. We were clearly the better team for the first half, but allowed a rejuvenated Bolton to snatch momentum off our defensive lapses and poor marking. I think Sam’s switch of formation was sound but unfortunately we missed capitalizing and Bolton grew more bold as the game went on.
I’m sure the lads will regroup next week, but we need to take some of our excellent ‘fortress Ewood’ mentality to our away matches
I totally agree i went today and go to a lot of games and am a season ticket. Didnt think it was a waste of money because we had some good chances but we need someone whos taking the chances and Mortens been doing a lot of that recently thats what lacked today. I wouldnt of started Roberts upfront personally would have put Mame Diouf and Benjani. 4-4-2. Someone who stood out to me today who came off the bench was Junior Hoilett he was the little play maker we needed.
we need to be more constant and not to have one good match and one bad, that’s the matter I think, but the answer it’s in the team!
I honestly think Allardyce had his tactics spot on today …. until the red card. That wasn’t in the script and i think it disrupted the balance of the match. Unfortunately our game isn’t possession based so having an extra man isn’t THAT much of a bonus. Just one of those things, Allardyce has done a near miraculous job IMO since he’s been at Rovers. I’d like to see Mame Diouf start against West Ham on the right hand side and also Dunny.
Great memories in that video, shame Bentley and Bellamy ever left, they were superb in the blue n white halves.
I’m glad to see that at least one player feels the same way I do. I was the angriest I’ve ever been with Rovers yesterday whereas today I’m just disappointed. 3 wins on the bounce would cure that as that would mean 30 points before the new year!
am completely traumatised at the way we conceded the 2nd goal but hey lets draw the line in the sand and show our worth on saturday.the darwin end will still be roaring u on.
are you as shocked as I am Morten? I can’t believe Allardyce has been sacked
Looks like Sam paid the ultimate price for the some of the results since the new owners took over…
What has happened Morton?!
It wasn’t because of results. The new owners obviously didn’t want Sam as their manager in the first place…
I’m quite shocked about Allardyce’s sacking, how do the squad feel about it Morten?
Hva synes du om at Sam har fått sparken? Styret begrunnet det vel med klubbens ambisjoner og blablabla, men med seier i helga hadde dere ligget på 6. plass. Hva mener du er klubbens ambisjoner? Champions League?
@josh possibly not, the new owners have they want a better standard of football, but when you look at some of the games since the new owners have taken over, have been spectacularly bad (spurs, bolton and man utd).
The fact that neil mc (who was a really nice guy when we met the team at man city) has gone as well, tells me they have a manager and asst in mind already….
i’m gutted at what has happened to big sam. if it wasn’t for him we’d be playing championship footie now. great manger hope we don’t regret this day.
Still shocked by this. I hope the squad is dealing with the news okay, Morten.
