@josh I agree, it’s frustrating when we lose but today we didn’t play especially badly, we just lacked a bit of firepower upfront. Jason Roberts, for all his hard work, just isn’t as prolific a scorer as we need. Despite that, I would say he is probably still our best for the time being in terms of his all round play. Allardyce is doing as well as anyone can be expected on such a small budget. Would you rather we had Ince back?
It’s just the way we approach games, no real intention to go out and seek the win, the entire set up of the team is shocking and the same can be said for our football. Roberts is poor but
I can’t blame him too much today. We don’t create many clear cut chances for any of our strikers.
I honestly think Allardyce had his tactics spot on today …. until the red card. That wasn’t in the script and i think it disrupted the balance of the match. Unfortunately our game isn’t possession based so having an extra man isn’t THAT much of a bonus. Just one of those things, Allardyce has done a near miraculous job IMO since he’s been at Rovers. I’d like to see Mame Diouf start against West Ham on the right hand side and also Dunny.
Great memories in that video, shame Bentley and Bellamy ever left, they were superb in the blue n white halves.
