A little late blog post today, but I’ve been a bit busy today so here it is. The match yesterday is well summarized in most media so we’ll let that be. But we’re nowhere near finished discussing the future of Erik Huseklepp. I can not understand why that man isn’t in a bigger league. He is a constant threat to every opponent we face. If he had the finishing skills of Robbie Fowler, he had played in Chelsea or Real Madrid. The work attitude is impeccable, he works as a crazy horse the whole game through, a bit like Rooney. And this is well reflected in his 2-1 goal yesterday. On a 1-1 result in a friendly match, at 85 min, many other strikers would have played safe and not taking any chances. But here Huseklepp showes what quality player he is. He sets the pace immediately and attack the goal when he had passed the ball to Ruben Yttergård Jensen. He is the type of player who always want that extra goal, and do whatever it takes to get to it. Erik Huseklepp as person is also the type you want in the locker room and on the team. He always takes good care of his body (even if there is a “documentary” on TV and on youtube where I and John Arne Riise took him red handed with his nose in the coockie jar :) ) and he is very professional in training. So it is about time for several Premier League clubs to get out the checkbook and give HuseKlepp the chance he deserves. I know I would love to have him in my club.
