Unfortunately we lost the match today after we had a poor first half, but we picked up the game in the second half and could easily put a goal and get a draw.We did not and we lost 1-2 against a good Glasgow Rangers. I went off after an hour and in came mr.Aussi himself, Brett Emerton and the entire stadium stood to applaud him. That’s was nice and Emo deserved it because he is a really nice guy.
Then it happened; Contador won the Tour de France with the 39 seconds he took when Schleck got trouble, and we have reason to discuss this year’s Tour de France in all time to come. Immediately after that stage I was not gracious in my criticism of Contador, and I still think that Contador let the gentleman in him lie in the bottom of the hill. The opinion in the cycling world is divided, but what is most important is that Andy Schleck himself shows that cyclking is a gentleman’s sport. He himself will not fix any finger at Contador and agree that Contador was 39 seconds better than him during this tour. And that’s good because Contador could easily have gone away from Schleck already on the second stage in Spa, when Schleck fell. And he gave Schleck the stage victory on the Col du Tourmalet, so Contador probably found the gentleman inside him during the following night. Schleck acquit Contador and then we will not we be any worse. I forgive and accept Contador as a worthy winner of this year’s Tour de France. But next year, then Andy Schleck will win. At the same time I hope it does not come any scandals in the wake and that those who rolled onto the Champs-Elysees today are clean riders.
