1-1 against Villa
I thought we were unlucky that we only got 1-1 at home against Aston Villa today. We were poor in the first half, and it was only Yakubu and Robinson who delivered a satisfactory performance in the first half. But in the second half we were by far the better team. And it was just bad luck that we didn’t win this one. The Olsson twins gave us tremendous speed on the left wing and the whole team played well and it was fully deserved that David Dunn got the equalizer for us.

That is a fair appraisal Morten but the majority of fans think that the managers team selection and tactics were wrong. You and Junior should have been on opposite flanks and Petrovic is just awful. Moving Junior to the right, you inside and the substitutions made the difference. Just how many points will the clown of a manager cost us though his ineptitude. This was, for me a winnable game and to only draw made it feel to a lot of us like a defeat. We are fast running out of games.
Morten, I agree with the majority of your input apart from were you say we were unlucky to not get a win. We were lucky to get a draw with a first half performance as such. At a Premier League level you cannot perform like that, I thought Bradley Orr, Robbo, The Yak did okay in the first half, as in the second the mentioned names plus Dunny and the Olssons changed the game, we had more width and obviously you and Junior were set up on the wrong sides, in my opinion sometimes every manager gets it wrong, ours? All the time, fair enough, he changed it for the better, but even I could see what needed changing, there was no width whatsoever, and seeing that Hoilett wasn’t putting any effort in, no pace. Put Hoilett on his preffered side and Marcus on created more width. Kean seems to have the one way of going into games but it’s just a case of whether it works or not, two examples : Man U away + Stoke home, didn’t work for both of them. Kean wasted two substitutions making up for his poor selection and it simply isn’t good enough. If he had employers who knew something about football he’d been long gone.
do you actually fancy the idea of playing in the championship or are you planning on jumping ship to join with the rest of the senior players once we are relegated.

To be honest Lars comments like that are an absolute joke where Morten is concerned. I know it seems to escape about half of our fans (the ungrateful, grumpy moaner half) but Morten is the most loyal, committed Rovers player and Rovers fan we’ve got. 8 years at the club, over 300 games, never once complained about being left out or on the bench, never once slated the idiot fans who seem to blame every bad performance on him. In fact does the complete opposite and is the only players who walks round every stand clapping us for 5 minutes after each match. Others might jump ship, Morten won’t, he’s a rare credit to his profession.

i was only asking the question, yes im sure he is a nice guy and was a very good player for us FIVE YEARS AGO, strangely though its only the dozen or so
sycophants(look it up) on here (and steve kean!!) that still actually believe he contributes anything to the game other than hitNmiss setpieces(mainly miss) and predictable momentum sapping long throws.
But he is still the best setpiece taker the club ever had!!

Hope you can beg Steve Kean not to put you on the right wing position. You looked terrible when you were there. Just cut inside, provided no width in the midfield and also can’t cross from the right.

You’re not speaking as a brfc supporter, you’re speaking as an inept supporter, big difference you know. We have 11 players on the pitch, Peds is the player who creates most goals for us. He have scored most goals on free kicks of all players in the PL since he came in 2004, that includes Gerrard, Lampard, Drogba and Ronaldo. He is on top ten assist all time in the PL. ALL TIME mate. Imagine how many assists to assist he have! He is a former striker, clearly an attacing player. And you blame him for Blackburn conceeding goals when we have 11 players on the pitch!?! Never occured to you that the mangager is to blame, or maybe even some of the defenders whos job it is to stop goals? Mate please
Stein stein stein, i never said he was shit!, hes just a weak link in open play, i do however believe with the right manager in the right formation he could learn to adapt his game now that he has zero pace, possibly play in a tugay esque role of just sitting in the centre of midfield and sparaying the ball about.

Do you actually believe that removing Peds will result in us not conceeding so many goals? In that case who’s going to replace him? Mind that the player replacing him have to produce as many goals as he does.
All stats shows Peds is one of the best set piece takers in PL history. And this season we have scored 22 of 38 goals on set pieces. Also Peds have quite a few assists in open play. Who’s going to replace that mate? I agree his defending and tackles are questionable at times, but his contribution to our goals more than cover for that. Give good reason for your statements or shut it!
