Christmas lunch
Today we had a nice Christmas lunch on the training ground, and the chef had prepared turkey for us. It was very good, and it was also nice to have a lunch with the team. It is encouraging with all things that bring us closer together, and we need everything that is positive. We have two home games in a row that we should get six points from, and it’s nice to go into those matches with positivity and good mood in the squad. I have two good friends from Norway visiting me, so there is a lot of laughter in the Casa del Gamst at the moment too, and that is nice.

Here’s hoping the team spirit is high and brings us a massive 3 points on Saturday. The team effort cannot be questioned, and hopefully all that hard work will pay off and Rovers will start to climb the table into the top half where we belong. Good luck, Morten, you can always be relied on to put in a great shift when you pull on your Blue and White shirt - your effort and commitment is appreciated. May i also take the chance to wish you and the team a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year - have a good one!!!!
Good luck for Saturday. Its good that the team have a positive attitude with everything that has happened, but we need points and let’s hope that they start building up. Hope you have a good time with your friends

, btw, you are being so wasted in your actual position, you really need to be more close to the forwards, you have long shots and good crossing, the team need more offensive potential, just look at the match stats and see how many shots we make.

Extremelly disapointing game, second half especially. Steve Kean and Venkys both need to go, and I agree with LeCasio that todays game has probably got us relegated!

Go easy guys, its not all Mortens fault there are 11 players on that pitch and all equally need to take responsibility for the poor games that have taken place, it shows when they have a rubbish manager that they dont play well within the team but unfortunalty Blackburn have an extremely bad manager and even worse owners!!! All Morten is doing is keeping folk updated on whats happening behind the scenes, it might not be what everyone wants but he has a responsibility to that club and no matter how angry the fans get i cant see Morten doing any different!!!!!!!!!!

I really hate to say this but I can’t see Rovers winning another game! Hope I’m wrong. I think that Venkys must take the blame more than Kean. I don’t think they really want to invest in Rovers, either that or they’re clueless! Kean needs to go but who could act as manager until a new one was appointed? Don’t think there’s anyone? Who would be prepared to come as manager and would Venkys be prepared to pay for a “proper” manager?
I heard that venkys wanted rovers to go down and then after next season get back into the premeir league so they can get more money, thought it was a joke at first, quite honestly im starting to believe it because of what is happening at the club.
Sad to see we lost but i believe that we deserve that. With a manager who act and talk like shit and owner who thought football is like Bollywood Movie, i dont see any light at the end of the tunnel. Unless something concrete need to be done. Day after day, night to another, i dont see the owner really back up the club but make us stranded in the middle of nowhere…. so sad……
Hi Morten! Gutted for us all that we missed another 3 pts against WBA. Can I ask you something? What do you and the rest of the players think is the main reasons why we are losing so many games? What is so different now from previous seasons? Also, why are we suffering so many niggly hamstring injuries this season? please try to be as honest as you can! (;-)).

I have been a Rovers fans for almost 20 years and i feel very sad about the state of the club now!
morten i like u very much as a player and a person, am a big fan!! your freekick was great vs WBA and almost went in….but keeper saved it well. If it went in, maybe it could be a different story by end of the game. I know u are not a ‘defensive’ player by nature but ur missed tackle towards the end of the game that contributed to our defeat, the one that Odemwingie got away with. yes he is really fast and the shot was vicious. Our midfield needs to buck up!! we badly need a defensive midfielder…in the class of David Batty and a proper right back! Salgado legs have given way…he has no pace, i do not doubt his commitment but he is like 35….going to 36?? sorry for the rant. stay positive and all the best to the team vs Bolton. I rest my case, finally everyone has seen that you are out of your depth now Pedersen. You’ve been great for the club over the years and you’ve made millions out of playing for us but do the decent thing and do one with Kean. Too often your “mistakes” cost us goals, but in all honesty they aren’t mistakes its just the fact your not good enough. A decent manager would have you out the door in January and nowhere near 1st team until then. What other Premiership club would be interested in and inconsistent, soft tackling or non tackling, one footed, slow, tactically inept and too highly paid player? Hardly be queueing would they. Go home Mort, do us a favour.
Not being funny Dave but Morten is one of the nicest footballers at Rovers and who was it, who went over to clap the fans at the end of the game yesterday? nobody else did, did they. He wasnt even playing in his position yesterday so I don’t really think your comments are fair. And considering there are 10 other players on the pitch I don’t really think its fair to have a go at Morten all the time do you? It’s every players responsibility not just his. Nobody can fault his effort and commitment to the club.
Thats a bit harsh Dave, yeah morten good have tackled a bit more but hes not the only blackburn player that doesnt tackle, if you watch them all through the match you will see a couple that do it, so taking all the anger and frustration on Morten really isnt going to help matters.
No report from yesterday yet Morten? Too embarrassed? Once again the imposter of a manger comes up trumps. The winning goal came from neither you or Goodwillie doing enough to stop the shot. However why was a right footed striker brought on to play left side midfield? Why were you at full back with Adam Henley on the bench. And by the way where were Anderson and Ribero? Why bring the woeful Grant Hanley on at right back? Why play left footed Rochina on the right side? The questions could go on and on.
Some of you senior players should be asking these questions Morten because you are now in danger of all being tarred with the same brush.
I seriously despise Kean and Venkys for what they are doing to my club, a club with a proud heritage and traditions. It’s fine for you to kiss the badge but if you love the club I implore you to do what is best for the club and as a group advise the Indians that they need to sack the horrible little man NOW to give us any chance.

I have a lot of time for MGP, he unlike a lot of our squad is one of us. I remember meeting Morten at Old Trafford a few years ago, he was in the crowd with us and is clearly a true blue; he couldn’t do enough for my kids, even though they interupted him half way through the second half.
When he threw down his water bottle yesterday ,his anguish was clear to see. I know he can’t officially say it on here, but it’s clear to see he is with us all the way. How many of the other players showed their appreciation for the fans? MGP always shows his appreciation whilst the majority of the rest are keen to cosy up to the brilliant one.
I sincerely Kean he is sacked this week on principle alone, sadly I think it will be too little too late.
Morten you are one of the best players we have and take no notice of the few who post criticisms of you. If we are going to win games we need to keep the ball more and pass other wise we are going to carry on losing. The man we need is ALAN CURBISHLEY he kept Charlton in the top 10 for 8 years on zero budget. He kept West Ham up with 7 wins from 9. He s looking for a premiership job spread the word ALAN CURBISHLEY.
I agree with most of the comments, excepting those senseless criticisms against you, maybe you and the other players should start a little revolution against Kean, I mean like once Levante did and some other clubs, as a fan I can do anything, but may you can make the difference before this ship sinks.

as per usual I will say to ignore the negative comments Morten. You were put at the back in a mackshift role and I agree there are 11 players on the pitch not 1. Just because Mrten has a blog for us to air our views and talk does not mean you should all slag him off. He reads and takes note of all the comments. Morten, I am so worried he has to go and sooner rather than later, if he has not gone by Weds mornnig I know we are heading for the Championship. This can not happen because with him in charge there is no way we will make it back up. Great attempt on goal though Morten. More like that tomorrow night please x x

i think that Morten played well and ofcourse he made some mistakes… and no big deal… To me Ruben Rochina should be blamed because waste so much opportunity with one man show although sometimes gave benefit to rovers. We need a team & not a one man show…
No use blaming anyone , this is a team and a team of 11! Let’s get on with it and stop all the bickering. We all makes mistakes but do not need crucifying for it. We are all Rovers together so let’s get behind what is ours.
You bleed blue and white, you would do anything for this club and I as a Rovers fan appreciate that. I have seen some tough times at the club and the good ones. That’s why football is so special. But as a fan base we should be totally behind the players during match time.
I have already said well done to Morten for having this facility for us to post comments and I think it should be done by all players. There’s several players who have been even worse than Pedersen this season but I still think Morten is past his prime. If he was still good enough then he would be playing left side of midfield like he used to do. Yakubu doesn’t get moved to centre half when we are short does he? No because he is good enough to nail down his position up front. If we bring in a centre midfielder in January and have all our players back fit, would Pedersen be in the 1st 11? I think not. He’s been a great player for us over years, upmost respect for him as a professional, done the club and fans proud, but go now and free his wage to bring in players worthy of wearing the shirt. Thanks Mort, been a pleasure, give Kean a lift as you leave aswell as he is not allowed to drive.

I watched the last game and after this I don’t even want to watch back MOTD. I just lost my interest in watching football after those woeful matches.

Its hard to watch a Rovers team that are 2nd best in a tackle and even worse one that doesnt tackle in the last few minutes at all.West Brom fans should be delighted at two superb strikes.The Rovers fans should despair at the quality of their goal and the lack of chances created.To play as poorly as this at home on such a regular basis this season is unbelievable,yet stil have the same manager is unacceptable. When Roy Hodgson hit the bottom of the league in 1998 Jack Walker promptly sacked him.The current Rovers team is a lot worse now.
Just read an article where Salgado has denied claims that he is injured etc etc. Shame on you Steve Keane. Just a shambles!!! One other thing he seems to be under the illusion that because fans are opposed to him we are not supporting the team!! What is he on about.??
Why are you moaning about Salgado on Morten Gamst Pedersen’s blog page? Have you got no friends you can moan about this to instead? I for one am happy Salgado’s not playing…Lowe’s a far more capable and reliable rightback.
And Dave - I understand your comments but they make no real sense…It’s all relative on who we actually bring in. You could say that we could bring in a new striker and Yakubu wouldnt be in the starting 11 or a new keeper and Robbo wouldnt be in the starting 11? Ultimately, we’ve got to use the resources we’ve got at our disposal, and Morten is one of the most valuable ones we have right now, particularly in dead-ball situations.

Finally one of our players has the guts to speak up about what’s going on at the club. It’s a shame that you have not done it yourself, but the way the club are treating Salgado is sickening and just proves how rotten things have become at ewood behind the scenes.
