Sunderland away
Today we play against Sunderland at Stadium of Light, and we expect a though game but we’re confident that we can get a result here. I won’t bore you guys with a lot of text, so I’ve taken som epictures on the way up to Sunderland. Enjoy!

Worst half of football I have ever seen. The entire team and the manager should be absolutely ashamed.

The players played really well today Morten, including yourself. Robbo and Samba were immense defensively. Things could be said about Kean’s tactics for the game, but your blog ISN’T a place to moan on and on about them (hint to some people giving abuse week in/week out) Chin up Morten, two win-able games ahead!! P.S - loving the pictures, Yak is hilarious!!

Morten won’t marry you Hayley or Natasha no matter how much you drool over how brilliant he is in every match! Decent individual performances today undone by very poor tactics as a whole. As stated above, the worst half of football I have ever seen from any side in the Premier League. Maybe the players will speak out a little more when Barclays call in the money and Venkys can’t pay their wages…
Agree with Natasha. It is suppose to be a positive thing that Morten has this blog and people are turning it into a negative thing by complaining. How is Givet? Hope he is better. Today was just unlucky, especially with the injuries.
The whole second half was embarrassing I totally agree with Benj. I don’t remember a time in the last 20 years when I was embarrassed to be a Rovers supporter but I am now. Kean clearly needs to go and the midfield needs a good kicking Dan and Samba played well yakubu got no support Robbo made good but the rest of you need to seriously look at your performances after all your payed big money to win matches and as we can all see that’s not happening. Kean out!!

I would like to see an honest report on how you thought the game went and i hope you dont say it was undeserved today as it most certainly wasnt.
Im not blaming you like some people i thought you did well especially considering the tactics being played
It annoys me so much to see kean stick with the same tactics week in week out they are not working we end up overcrowding our own box and giving them possession we had a good start today but as soon as the goal went in i feared the park the bus tactic would appear again and it did for like 60mins.
It was the worst i have ever seen rovers play and hope to never witness such a disgrace again. The thing is i have faith in the players and some players today played amazing samba is a hero robbo made some top saves formica put in a shift today and so did you however i dont think many players are comfortable and playin out of position yourself included.
Since it looks like the venkys arent doing anything can you please suggest to kean playing a different approach
I would like to see this played i am going to put it here in the slim hope you read it and maybe even contemplate how it would work

we play a far too defensive formation atm and that overcrowds our box allows the others to get forward and push more men forward thus making us sit deeper. when we win the ball yak is alone and expected to work miracles and lets face it he doesnt have the pace to latch on to a ball played into space. By making everyone defend the defenders have less control over the defending players and everyone seems to get confused and long shots a key example today there were so many people on blocking robbos view that he could not see the ball (it was a great strike tbf)
I would honestly appreciate it so much if you took a lil time out of your day to write a response or email me back saying your views on the matter as at the end of the day i pay to watch you and pay for sky sports and if i cant do either i will find someway of watching and take time out of my day to show support
Just to clarify my point i dont doubt the players or you i think you are all awesome on your day its just with a manager like kean i cant see us doing well this season

Have a look at the Mail on Sunday today. Talks about Venkys’ problems with Barclays. Maybe the bank won’t extend overdraft in January. Also, says Mrs. Desai stopped Kean being sacked after Yakubu scored 4 goals in the last game and saved his job! May be all “paper talk” but makes interesting reading!
I completely agree with Jack, changing to a defensive formation during a game is only acceptable with 5-10 mins left and shouldn’t be done at the beginning of the 2nd half. Blackburn have good attacking players but pushing them into defence is pointless. Also Yak was completely isolated up front today, you need 2 in attack! But yeah Jack is right, maybe we should appoint him manager, couldn’t do any worse than Kean
Its shame that the 4 goals saved him in many aspects if that is true as the game itself we sat back and they looked like doing what sunderland did today however they got a player sent off which allowed us to push on and play football again but again it is standard kean tactics week in week out which arent working
Riversider, I am not going to get drawn in to whatever it is you want from Natasha or me. All we are saying is positive things on here, rather than slating him which is the right thing to do.

Where you and the other players waiting a bus stop in Salmsbury near the Trafalgar hotel? I thought i saw you taking pictures there on Saturday
Well Morten our imposter of a manager made complete fools of the players and supporters of Blackburn Rovers yesterday with his tactics which were doomed to failure. Why change the system (4-4-1-1) which worked well in the first half with Formica picking up a lot of second balls. The rigid 4-5-1 in the second half just played into Sunderlands hands and it was only a matter of time before they got the equaliser. We all knew (I was there with 318 other Rovers fans) that once they scored they would probably win the game. For the life in me I can’t inderstand why he changed and I sincerely hope that you players amde your feelings known to him. Why oh why is he still in charge of our club when he is clearly out of his depth with his flimsy coaching staff of nobodies (Bobby Mimms exepted). You and senior players really need to come clean and tell Kean how it really is otherwise the reality is we will be playing League One football in two years time. He should be sent packing and you players have a responsibility here Morten to play your part and tell the owners (sic) how it really is at Blackburn.
I would love to get a direct reply from you Morten or to have a chat with you and tell you how we really feel about the direction in which our club is moving in. I will meet you anywhere to have a frank discussion and you can let me have your side of the whole sorry affair.

I was going to put a comment up here about the whole saga, but I didn’t because there is no point. There is no chance of anything changing, even if Kean goes we will end up with another nobody. It pains me to say it but we are going down, I hope everybody who is involved with this scandal is proud. When Venkys, Kean and the players leave Blackburn they can forget about this little town in Lancashire, but for the fans that is not an option, we will always remember when our club was dismantled.
I just have a feeling that Venkys think the club can be self funding, which is crazy for a Premier League club. I don’t think they’ll get rid of Kean, they’d have to pay much more for a proper manager - it’s all down to money, certainly beginning to look that way! So agree there’ll be no change - sadly!

I can’t fathom how anyone in the team still backs this guy (Kean) to succeed. How deluded are you all (the entire team) to believe we can still finish in the top half of the table? They should bring back Mark Hughes. I love how Kean has adopted the typical Indian management culture in refusing to take any of the blame for his mistakes. It’s just excuses such as, it’s the refs fault, or, we lost but the character of the team was good. We don’t win games with good character or playing like crap, which you (the team in general) have been doing all season thus far. The fans pay good money and expect to see something good become of it, instead they could watch Sunday league football at the park for free instead of wasting it watching you guys losing all the time and ruining their afternoons. - If Uncle John (Williams) was still Chairman, Kean’s ass would have been booted out the door all ready because he, unlike Venkys and all the other executive tosspots in command, would listen to the fans.
Morten the second half performance against Sunderland was not a disgrace to you either or the other players. In fact i thought the players did as well as they could do in the light of the tactics they were being forced to play by the manager.
The simple fact is not only is Kean out of his depth, he has not got the balls to admit it and step down.
I sincerly hope that his deluded attitude has not been picked up by the players.
Historically teams in the bottom two do not survive relegation. This is proven historical and mathmatical fact. Now do you really think we will win the last 2 games of this year against Liverpool and Manchester United away? We are already 4 points off of the exit of the relegation zone, and only 1 point off the bottom of the table!
Now i know Jason Roberts, David Dunn and Yakubu are totally behind Kean, i haven’t the faintest idea why! But if there are ANY elements players wise, or staff wise who believe the club should be doing better with it’s current selection of very good players (as do we all fans wise) then now is the time to say so!
Please, please, please don’t think about how it will effect your team selection and prospects at the club. I know it is difficult, but the simple fact is Blackburn Rovers is your home, and we are your adoptive family.
Nobody wants to see Rovers relegated after 10 years! You remember how it was in the old League One. Rovers should not be anywhere other then the Premier League of England. We are one of the joint founding members of the League for goodness sakes.
So please, if you want a manager like Mark Hughes back at the club. If you back Robbie Savage’s opinion that Rovers will be relegated if we continue with Kean incharge as manager. Stand up and be counted! Save our club from this poor poor manager!

Steve Kean’s 20% win ratio as manager doesn’t lie. It is worse even then Brian Kidd’s record as manager when we originally got relegated all those years ago!
Please Morten… Do what you can… Speak with the Rao’s and Mrs Desai if you can… But please help us and our club!
