Gary Speed
When I came into the training ground this morning we got some terrible news. Gary Speed was found dead this morning. It was a big shock and all my thoughts are with his family. Gary Speed was a legend in the Premier League, and he was known as a hard working and honest player, both on and off the field. I first got aware of Gary when I was a young boy at home in Vadsø when I got a football calendar and discovered that me and Gary had our birthday on the same day.
Our game against Stoke City at Britannia Stadium yesterday wasn’t a particular good game, it was just like the weather and blew away in a dull affair. Stoke took better care of their chances than we did, and they could collect the three points. But today football means nothing. Our thoughts are with the Speed family.

couldn’t agree with you more morten. when i first started watching the english premier league on TV it was around 2006-2007 and i was lucky enough to see gary play in a few matches before he retired. the man was an absolute lion on the pitch and in the FIFA video games as well!
