Reserves game
Since there is no spot for me in the starting elleven I played a reserves game against Wrexham today, the match ended 2-2 and wasn’t exactly the game of the season. But what was funny was that Dean Saunders was the manager of Wrexham, and it was him togheter with Greame Souness who went to Tromsø to look at me and he was strongly involved in buying me to Blacburn Rovers. So I’m very grateful to him for giving me a chance here in Blackburn and the Premier League. Saunders remembered very well why they bought me and gave unrestrained praise of my passing, crossing and set pieces, and thought I’m one of the best in that area. And I must admit that it was good to hear that, unfortunately I have not gotten to use my strengths so much lately and I don’t like it now that it doesn’t go so well with the team in my heart. Unfortunately thats just the way it is sometimes.

Please do the team and all the fans a huge favor and DONT leave at the end of the season, as soon as the stubby little penguin man is gone you will be straight back into the starting lineup where you belong

dunn only lasts 10 minutes then he is worn out.

Steve did you say hes the best outfield shot but did you see the 2 shots against everton the other week lol…i do hope you get a run soon and stick one in the net as goals change games and thats what will get you back in the starting line up at the end of the day…With Junior and martin olson able to play on the left wing now theres competion for the place,something which wasnt there for the last few years and Morten use to be a regular in that spot…Its up to the player to prove in training and any chance on the pitch he gets,thats hes the one who should be first on the teamsheet..Obvioulsy Morten has been playing centre mid alot as well but i think hes a much better winger…Sorry if i sound a tad harsh but just saying what i think..Lets hope we can put a run together for the remainder of the season anyway people…COYB!!!
Morten, in my opinion, steve should have a discussion session with players… this is crucial moment for us, i can see the determination of all players in yesterday match. Steve is not Jose Maurinho or Sir Alex, then he should listen any suggestion from players …..

5 years in a row, i’m pretty sure you’ve had the most assists… It makes me so angry how kean can play ‘some’ players with less experience and passion… . Since January there’s been a low percentage of passing, long balls, set pieces and Goals… I wonder why Mr kean… I wonder why?

Morten this situation is absolutely ridiculous. People around me (including me) at Ewood are baffled as to why you are not in the starting eleven. Do NOT leave at the end of the season, that will be a massive mistake and Moescat is right as soon as Kean goes you will be straight back in. I can’t understand why he can not see how talented you are and especially with the throw ins and free kicks you take that, on Monday night I believe at least 1 of them had it been taken by you would of gone in. You are a true blue and really hope you can stay strong through this storm and you will show him what an idiot he is. We all love you Morten don’t you forget that, you are honest, and genuinely a rover, don’t let some blinkered short bald man make you believe anything different. Stay Morten please. Morten, do not think of leaving the club you love all because of someone who does not know his first 11. We absolutely no way want to loose you. It may sound selfish, and i know you want to play 1st team football but he will not be here much longer and you will be back were you belong in the starting eleven. You must be feeling pretty awful at the moment but please try to rise above it. It just does not make sense you not playing. Those free kicks on Monday had your name all over them, everyone around were saying ‘why is peddy not taking these? He should be on the pitch. Come on Morten just please ride the storm. Think how many managers we have had since you arrived and you will know he will not be there much longer and he is the only one not playing you for whatever reason. Finally, just to sum up we love you at Ewood, always have and always will.

Wrexham in a reserve game?! I am actually really angry for you as you no way deserve that. You should have been playing on Wednesday night, no doubt about it. Keep the faith, keep your head up and BRFC in your heart. You’ll be here a long time after that idiot has gone. x

morten, this is the first time i have posted on your site, although im a regular reader of it, i can fully understand your situation regarding the club, unfortunately you cant do anything about what jerome anderson and his puppet kean are doing to our glorious club, and treating our best players (ie: you and niko and a few others) like dog muck, kean has not got a clue how to manage our club and he should resign at the end of the season whether we are relegated or not. Keep your head held high mate, train hard, and prove the puppet wrong and let the ones,who need to, hang theirs in shame !!! R.T.I.D
Hang in their Morten, whether it’s keane or whoever (inevitably) replaces him, you will be an important part of the team again, a complete lack of quality from set peices and general naive play in the midfield will see to that. Looking at the bigger picture, why cant the manager see, in a relegation fight, experienced players with quality are vital!!, no disrespect to the younger/newer players to the club. But the current selection will not get results out of the coming matches,

I have say i am more than a little baffled as to what Steve Kean is doing.
Morten is consistently our highest assist player, our normal corner taker (although clearing the first man has been an issue this season) and his throw-ins that are like corners that 90% of the premier league struggle to defend against, yet you and Niko (our leading league goal scorer currently iirc) seem to have been dropped completely, can someone please tell me where Steve Kean thinks the goals and assists will come from, as i have no idea…
I have been fortunate to meet most of the blackburn managers since King Kenny, and by far the two who inspire confidence the least were Paul Ince and Steve Kean, quite how either can motivate players is lost on me.

Don’t go feeling sorry for yourself Pedersen, there’s alot more at stake than your reputation on the line. This whole town relies on rovers staying up to secure what’s left of its dilapidated economy and society, football offers alot more than entertainment -or increasingly lack of-. Our dignity and pride is now at stake more so than ever under Venyk’s and Kean’s mis-management. Without rovers preserving its status this town is nothing, especially with the new regime’s ‘influence’.
In saying that, I know you know how important it is as a club to stay up. If you’re seriously considering leaving in the summer because of this incompetent manager and owners, then there really is no hope for this club, even if we stay up, If one of our longest serving current players is so disillusioned I can only imagine that Kallinic or our emerging talent like Jones, Ollsen and Holliet must be thriving to jump ship. How different things were just last year…
the reason you got dropped is you kept losing the ball. man up and work hard and you’ll get what you’re capable of
Overwhelmed by the decisions made lately, Monday night it was echoed around our seats how sorely you are missed on the field. Your unbridaled passion to play for Rovers along with the inordinate skills you have to create goals sets you apart from many.
Can’t imagine how it must affect a player as dedicated as yourself to be demoralised like this. Please don’t reflect on these bad decisions, those making them are surely on borrowed time.

dear morten . i know this might sound bad and upset u but i am only saying this because i have liked your football for long time and i care for your career. my advise is maybe u should look at your performance in last few months to realise why u are not playing. u haave good crossing and throws but i have seen u give the ball away lots of times. why would the manager mr kean want to pick u if u give the balls away? also u had a small chance v everton to score and u missed it so why do u expect to play after things like this?

Moaning wont get you far…knuckle down and work hard if you want your place back…a few have mentioned it and rightly so you have been in poor form,sloppy and giving the ball away cheaply which you cant do especially in central midfield…I think the last 2 games you started were the wigan and vila games where we shipped 7 goals to the opposition and you havnt been seen much since then..Fell into a comfort zone seemly with a new contract under you,pity as i really do think you are a top player when you put your mind to it…
Hi Morten, first time I have read your site and its very nice. Its a scandal your not in the team at the moment, we need your experience and quality wherever you play on the pitch. I think some people on here are forgetting that Morten has been playing a different role this year, in centre mid mostly. Therefore demanding different aspects of his game. We missed is dead ball ability on Monday and the replacement of Dunn with an unproven 19 year old Rochina against city directly resulted in the goal which won the game, I feel Morten in CM at that point of the game wouldn’t have been out of position. Anyway hope you enjoyed your Good Friday afternoon in Duke 92 Morten, I was the fella who was half cut and wanted to talk about the goals you have scored for Rovers, I checked out your Hungary goal but still think the Wigan one was the best…cleaner strike? tighter angle? Thanks for your time that day it was a pleasure to speak to a football star who is a genuinely nice guy.
To be honest, i am outraged you are not selected for the starting 11 week in week out. Your ball controll and passing are some of the best ive seen. You provide the quality free kicks and corners. And i love it when you score them. You have been my favourite player since you joined the club. the days when you played at christie park!;) Just keep up the good work and please DO NOT leave ewood at the end of the season!xxxx
Like a lot of people, i do not understand why you are not in the team?! Everybody knows that you’re the best at free kicks etc and rovers had loads in the manc game. Hope you’re back playing for the 1st team as soon!… good luck

I find it disgusting the lack of loyalty shown to a player that has given more dedication and commitment to this club than anyone in the current squad (possibly along with Emerton). Try acknowledging the facts that Morten produces in goals and assists every season instead of putting importance on this bull**** opinion that he doesn’t try just because he’s not the type of player who dives into every tackle.
Please ignore these clueless idiots Morten. The problem with 95% of football fans is they’ve never played the game to a decent level (semi-pro and above) and therefore have no idea what they’re talking about. Those of us who have understand how the game works and can recognise a committed, valuable player when we see one, that section of Rovers fans will always be behind you.
I’ve read in the website (Can’t remember the name) mention that Steve Kean adapt/adopt technology in football. For example he likes to make presentation, video analysis and much more … sounds interesting but i dont care… i dont mind rovers play ugly as long as u win it’s ok to me.. come on guys, Bolton “do or die game”…. wish u luck……cant rely on steve, we only can rely to the players………….

Morten, its players like you that need to be playing week in week out. Its such a shame as your experienced as anyone and deserve your place on the team. Fans support you and like your passion and ability. Its a shame that its looking like your on a down. You dont need to be playing against the likes of ‘Wrexham’ yes you went through a sticky patch and Rovers were not getting results but nor did anyone else get down. was glad to see you playing today and well done with the win. You belong at Ewood park and lets have the spirit back.
