Tribute to our Fans
What can we say about yesterday’s game? Well, there’s not much else to say except that we take our hat off for Manchester United, and then we’re going home to we see ourselves in the mirror and ask us what to do against Wolverhampton next weekend. Well, there we’re gonna prove to ourselves and the fans that we can do better than that, and we’ll let it all go out on Wolverhampton. We will learn from this match, but we will forget the result and move on. But there was one thing that was positive yesterday, and it was our supporters. They were simply fantastic, and they kept the spirits up throughout the match. I sat among the fans, and I must say that I am really proud of their efforts, and I am proud that these fans are our fans! Hats off to all you Rovers. Now I’m going to the Christmas market in Manchester and enjoy myself with my friends.

Obviously the players need to forget about it and move on but its not so easy for the supporters. Personally that was the most pathetic display I’ve witnessed in 13 years. There have been bad defeats before like at Chelsea last season but that game did not mean half as much to me as yesterdays did. It will take a long time for me to forgive what I witnessed yesterday though obviously those not involved including yourself are exempt from that criticism.
There was no excuse for that after the recent good news with the takeover and decent form. The performance yesterday was the exact opposite to that wonderful 2005 performance in every single way. I hope the new owners got a full apology from the management and players involved.
Its not easy to forget the scoreline when it is as big as that, but you just have to forget it and look forward to the next game.
Its okay…I was pretty dissapointed when i watch the game but i have faith in you guys, have a wonderful christmas..Take care

You are the perfect role model on and off the pitch - rovers legend

Your a true blue Morten, your invaluable to us.
The main thing the fans want is 100% commitment and effort, and you show that.
Syns me kampen i går

morten, join the boys, morten morten join the boys!
Morten, i, aswell as many other fans , have full respect for, your commitment and the professionalism that you have shown to our club has been outstanding, including your actions after the barton incident, that and the interview showed us what a real player, who just wants to do well for the club, you are and you deserve full credit, and to sit with the fans yesterday is yet another great gesture
you have been great in the last few games, you have such a sweet left foot and the recent goals have been fantastic. It was a shame you did not play yesterday as i was really looking forward to seeing you on that field to haunt united yet again, but as sam says, it may not have been worth risking you to further injury, i can’t wait til your back in action next week
good luck, im sure youl have yet another great game
another free kick in the top corner ? worth a bet

Morten you legend!!!
nothing at all wrong with the players its the management and the formation that never works but big sam choses it week in week out.
Hats off, Morton. Great response for a Rover who wasn’t even on the pitch, and great to see you were mixing it up with the traveling faithful at Old Trafford. It must have been really hard for you to see your mates go through that, and not be able to do anything about it. I know that when my Sunday league team gets a proper thrashing, even if I didn’t take part in the game itself, I am responsible for that loss, just as much as anyone. You train as a team, you help build morale, you have to push everyone everyday to win a spot and up your fitness; you take credit for every win, and you take credit for every loss. You are a part of a squad.
I hope the rest did you well, and look forward to seeing a strong response to Wolves, and don’t let it stop there.
Truly appreciate everything you do for Rovers, Morton!! Cheers!
It’s ok! Focus on the next game.

Me and my brother got ejected by the awful stewards! But to be honest I’m thankful! Enjoy the Christmas market Morten, I was there just a couple of hours ago!
You should have come to the back with us all
PLEASE get a result at ewood against wolves and please get one against Bolton <3
Hello Morten. You were sat a couple of seats from my father, unfortunately I couldn’t make the game as I’m normally there with him. He spoke to you at half time and said you remembered the ’60′ ‘HAWORTH’ shirt I got signed for him a couple of weeks ago. It really means a lot to have this level of interaction with players even just through your blog.
Thanks for signing my daughter’s shirts yesterday. I’ve met you on two occasions now and you have always been polite and accommodating - a credit to the club. I’m sure we will get back to winning ways next week.
Thanks very much Morton, really good to meet you at OT, despite the circumstances! Thanks for all your skill, commitment and faith; hope the lay-off means you can return to do your stuff, starting on Saturday.
From ‘Haworth 60′, ….I’ve supported Rovers for 50 years now, from my boyhood in the town (Buncer Lane), now commuting from Salford whenever I can. Thanks to son Oliver in London, faithful as ever to the cause.
