Sommer

welcome back morten.
I think you have had lots of reasons to stay away from this blog (lots of trouble going on behind the scenes at ewood park, lots of bad language at ewood on this page as well and last but not least poor results and the fight against relegation), but I think it shows character to come back and continue to give your opinions on football, cooking or whatever it is. This page had been created to give some insight views into the life of a professional footballer: It was designed for Blackburn Rovers supporters and fans of you as a player as well.
I think there wasnt a single day for four or five weeks now that I havent checked if there was any update on this page and finally it seems that you are back. I wouldnt of blamed you if you had decided to stop this blog, but having said that I think it is a positive move by yourself to go ahead with the blogging. It can only heal the wounds between fans and the players.
I hope that youll stay with BRFC and cant imagine to see you in another teams shirt.
Good luck to you Morten and the team and I hope that Blackburn will be back in the Premier League for the 2013/14 season!
best news so far this summer morten. we can’t afford to lose you and i would hate it if we did. looking forward to you taking the championship by storm and bringing us straight back up. top pro
Good to know you’re staying Morten.
Fans are very confused at the moment, hopefully we get some clarity soon. A new manager, new players and a new direction.
It’s lovely to hear from you again, Morten. I wouldn’t have blamed you if you’d abandoned your blog due to many negative and even abusive comments. I think many people won’t have realised that, as a professional footballer, you will have been devastated by the relegation of Rovers. It’s great to hear you intend to stay and fight for the club! Let’s hope that the present chaos at Rovers is soon sorted out and more positive times begin. Enjoy the summer break and your national matches. Anne xx
So pleased you’re staying with the club. Best bit of news we’ve had in a long, hard season.
Have a great summer (apart from against England!)

As a Rovers fan I’m absolutely delighted that you’re staying Morten, you’re a class act in a profession where loyalty is hard to come by. Especially when you consider the terrible owners/coach in charge, great news in dark times.
Brilliant. So glad that your staying, you truly are a true rover. Not many players stay at a club for as long as what you have. You are a role model for all children and I hope to see you in a Blackburn shirt next season
Good to hear Morten, could do with more like you at rovers, a player who cares
Glad to hear you’re staying, Morten!! It’s been a hell of an end to a pretty woeful season, but lets all hope this is the kick in the ass we needed to move even further upwards and onwards. My brother is a Newcastle fan, and he said it’s because of their relegation & promotion that they are playing with more determination and drive, and that that’s what fueled this season for them. I’d also love to see you get a 10 year Testimonial, and stake your name in Rovers folklore for good! RTID!!
Amazing professional, and a true blue.
Thanks for your service MGP
Great news Morten! Appreciate your loyalty. Can’t fault you COYB
MGP, an island in the sea of insanity that is Blackburn Rovers. Thank you so much for caring, you are a good man.
Morten thank you for being such a loyal servant for blackburn i hope we get a more compitent manager in so the team can once again thrive.
Good man! Good luck against England and Hrvatska (I think..) Here’s hoping our chaos will be sorted soon and we can come back to the Prem. As we say in Holland: Bedankt Morten en hopelijk zijn we snel terug!!!
Wonderful to hear from you, Morten!
Yes, I am sure relegation was a blow but now comes new challenges, both personal and for Blackburn. Charlton is pretty near where I live so I hope to get to the Valley when that fixture is due.
Looking forward very much to the England game. I hope it is a draw! Smile.
Enjoy your weeks off with family and your friends and have fun!
Many folks are quite fond of your most lovely personality and your fun side.
Fun is important so go have some soon!
Kjaerlightet og Lys!

Hi Morten,
As a Rovers fan since 1992 in the days of Stuart Ripley, Colin Henry, Alan Shearer…i am absolutely gutted naturally
Hope the team can get back on their feet and work hard to get back to the Premiership (hopefully not under Steve Kean!) Anyways nice to see you posting again… will be supporting you and Norway in the Quest for Euro 2012, Gd luck! and Rovers Forever!!
 :D cheers from Singapore
So far Morten nobody in any meaningful role at Ewood has apologised to us fans for the debacle of last season. In his first interview after Bolton were relegated Owen Coyle said sorry to the fans. I didn’t expect the selfish, arrogant waste of space that is Kean to do it but I thought one of the more senior professionals would have done. I have read though your blog twice now and can’t see any words of comfort to the fans. Thanks.
If you stay with us Morten, you will be a legend i our club!! You are a legend. A man of honour.
Good to hear from you again Gamst. Your loyalty is very rare in football these days but I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to leave. I really hope you don’t and help us to bounce back to the Premier League and get a well deserved testimonial.
Enjoy the Summer Morten and give England a good beating
haha won’t be hard with downing in the team!! I knew you wer a Rovers through and through! COYB!!!
Venkys wont let you unless you take a wage cut, so hope its true loyalty rather than appearing loyal to the fans before being ‘moved on reluctantly’, win win situation really! Good luck tho you have been a great servant
Glad you’re staying Morten. It will be difficult with Coco the Clown managing us but players like yourself have the ability to destroy the Championship.
morten gamst pedersen na na na na na morten gamst pedersen na na na na na! glad ur staying Morten u have rovers blood in those veins!!!
Great news Morten. A loyal Rover, we don’t have many
Now if Yak and Robbo would just stay and help us go straight back up…..
If i owned BRFC i would bring in Tugay, Flitcroft and Jansen to be a treble management team. And Tony Parkes would be made assistant again

Venkys & Kean Out
Top man Morton! I’ve been a Rovers fan for 57 years and you are in the tradition of Ronnie, Dougie, Garner and all the other stalwarts down the years. You have shown a commitment that demonstrates a love for the club and not just money. The club needs change but also fans who get behind you and the boys when you’re on the field. I say again; TOP MAN!
Thank you Morten! Hopefully the manager gets sacked and the Team gets the right man for the job and helps us bounce back! Once back in the premiership hopefully the club will give you another contract to stay for the rest of your career here! If not bring on the Championship, with Pedersen and Dunn, we will have one of the best midfield out there, you guys will forever be Rovers legends!
Best of luck next season Morten, credit to you for coming out and confirming you wish to stay, it would be so easy for you to walk out, so your commitment to the cause (especially such a ‘confused’ cause) is admirable.
Hope you have a great summer, get those batteries recharged and next season we’ll see you top of the assist league!
Thanks Morten. Amidst the sideshow that is our current manager and owners this is the one piece of good news that has come our way.
Much respect for a very classy move. You’re a true servant to the club and fans.
Looking forward to seeing you next season!
Morten, such loyalty is a rare commodity in todays game. I commend you for such a nobel act. Hopefully Steve Kean will take a look in the mirror and also do somehting nobel- Resign. Leading the club from abject disaster to disaster. I don’t understand how the man still has a job Morten…. Could you enlighten the frustrated fans? The players must feel the same way too?
Great news Morten, lets hope we keep a lot of the squad, get a new manager and bounce back, Have a great break, see you back in your rovers colours in August
Absolutely delighted with this news. Although relegation was a complete disaster, if we can keep the core of our team together, we can come back stronger next season. You’ve been a great servant to the club and I can’t wait to see you racking up the assists next season. Good luck with your upcoming international commitments and enjoy your holiday!
Great news and hope to see you in a blue and white shirt next season.
However, I can’t help but think, that with all the issues at the Club at the moment, that this is your way of telling us fans that if you do leave (likely in view of way other senior players have been treated) it is all down to management and not your decision.
The way in which Kean failed to acknowledge you when he substituted you at Chelsea said it all for me.
Good luck against England and have a great summer.
Morten, so good to hear from you. Glad your desire to stay has been posted. In anyone’s mind you already were a rover’s legend. Let’s hope some more positive news comes soon about our beloved club. I agree with you and dunny in midfield it would be good sure there will be some good games just look at the local derby’s for a start. As for bouncing straigt back up I sincerely hope so but with the regime in place can’t help but think it will be a tough ask. Enjoy yourself with the national team then have a lovely holiday and rest sure you will have some fun. Oh and keep us informed whatever the future holds. Have fun x
Delighted you are staying Morton … You are a very loyal player and I respect that
all the best for Saturday!
This is the best news since the relegation had happened.Come on Morten! Be a legend at Ewood!
Glad to hear your staying with us, been a bloody awful season but hopefully we will lose our manager soon and get someone in who at least knows what he doing!!! C u next season!!! X
I am so glad that you are staying, Morten! Tusen takk!
So glad you are staying Morten, you are so important to the team and I would have been so gutted if you had left. I hope you know, how much you are valued by Rovers fans… hope to meet you again at Ewood next year
  x
I always had faith that you would stay and fight to bring us back up, legend!
if you think so, just do your best at championship.
On the positive side, you did once say that the best goal you scored was against Burnley, so this time you get another 2 cracks at scoring a hatrick against them.
Once we get a REAL manager and start to rebuild a management board of directors, you will hopefully start to re-discover what was once great about being at Blackburn Rovers Football Club. My fear is that the fact that Venky’s have yet to produce their 2011 annual statement and they have had to renegotiate their relationships with several banks suggests they have issues with liquidity and are managing their cash flow via short term lending (and I would not be surprised to see a heap load of “exceptionals” in there for good measure too). All of which means that they are likely to see you more as a dollar sign instead of a football player.
Anyway, All the best for this summer in Eastern Europe and don’t get injured just in case they decide not to sell you !
i am so glad you’re staying with us Morten we need all the help we can get… People may say you played bad last season in the premier league but lets face it Morten you was played out of position all season…. now its time to clam you’re position back on that left wing and bring the magic back to ewood park!!!!
Thankyou Morten for pledging your future to Rovers.Hope you get your Testimonial because you deserve it.Not much Loyalty in football no more but 10 years at rovers and I remember your goal against Burnley in FA CUP will keep you in rovers folklore.Whos to say you wont score against them this season. We need more players like you. Please when it come to dingle games get stuck in.If do that we will be happy

Fantastic goal morten i remember that game and that was the best goal i have ever seen in the premier league..
admirable decision pledging your loyalty to rovers morten, even though venky’s may forcibly sell you. i don’t believe it’s a smart move for your own career to stay at blackburn but it’s great news for the fans and also for the young players moving up the ranks. they’ll have a wonderful senior leader to look up to. hopefully if venky’s don’t sell you they will at least replace steve kean so rovers have a shot at making the premier league in 2013. good luck against england tomorrow. i look forward to watching you play.
matt from USA
Best news I’ve heard all day. Really pleased to read your comments. Good luck against England.
fanx 4 pledging 2 stay at the rovers, ave a good time with norway in the euros, arte et labore

Loooool Blackburn are kinda shit…buh i hope they promoted back to the premier league next season…Buh to do that they need key players like morten to stay, they have had a shit season…i felt sorry for kean when the relegation to the championship was confirmed.
An excellent blog Morten,
Everyone associated with Blackburn Rovers have suffered as a result of relegation. It’s fantastic to see loyalty being shown from yourself.
Good luck against England today and hope you enjoy the occasion as well as your few weeks off with your family & friends and look forward to seeing you back at Ewood next season!!
An apology would have been nice. Oh well. Considering you regularly wimp out of challenges in the prem, God knows how you’re going to handle the much more physical Championship! I actually think you will stay Peds, but only because nobody else is silly enough to pay the wages we pay you.
yawn ben
Great news you at staying at Rovers. As you said the club needs to invest in new players for a swift return to the Premiership. Enjoy the summer, so you are fully refreshed for next season!
Good that you will stay hopefully you can develop into a more central role as you dont have the pace to be out wide anymore however if you get your passing back to what it was you will be an asset
So glad that your staying next season Morten!! Shows the loyalty you have to the club!

Ben, please keep your comments to constructive criticism and not unacceptable personal remarks. You do yourself no favours.
Morten is well loved and thought of and his fans are very happy that he is choosing to stay on and I am looking forward to the new season and the new challenges ahead, especially for MGP.
Love
Jackie
hi morten, reading your blog has definitely cheered me up
knowing that you plan to stay at rovers is great news
have a great summer & i hope you have a good game against us tonight!
  see you next season! xxx
Thanks for staying morten, you are awesome, we will need you to help us get back up
Thanks peds, have a nice summer
Gutted your staying morten! but not surprised. i bet your agent has been doing the rounds on your behalf but surprise, surprise nobody wants you cos your shite! heard you got a new ferrari, you make me sick you spineless cunt!
Nice to see u start blogging again. Good news to us because u’re willing to stay. And for your loyalty, u deserve a Mr. Blackburn title. I’m still waiting for June, not because of Euro 2012, but what will Rao’s family tell us regarding S.Kean status. but, when they need a couple of weeks to decide, i think they deserve Mr. idiots title. Anyway, good luck Morten. 0-1, no hard feeling

I think le cassio remarks are offensive and quite uncalled for. Personally I think this entry should be deleted or modified. Morten does not deserve such antagonism as in this jealous rant.
Morten, ignore this immature and angry individual, who is his own greatest enemy.
Hope you enjoyed the game against England. I thought England were pretty poor, Norway picked up in the second half…
Go have a good holiday and enjoy your ferrari!
love
jackie
xx
dokker spilte nåkka bra i kampen mot england da
  lykke til på lørdag!
I do agree with you, Jackie. LeCasio’s remarks are uncalled for and offensive. I see he’s used what is considered the most offensive word in the English language! Everyone is entitled to an opinion but there are better ways to express it! Morten certainly doesn’t deserve this kind of abuse. Stig should remove this comment.
Morten,
Firstly, I actually live in the same apartment block as you in Manchester (i’ll not name it on here for privacy purposes but check the ‘mail’ fan section on your site.)
I’m a life-long season ticket holder at Ewood park and speak for a number of Rovers fans when I say we’re delighted you’re staying at The club. Loyalty will see us return to where we belong and the likes of Dunny, Robbo and yourself can push the young players in the correct direction. Yourself and Dunny have been great servants- long may that continue. Hope to see the MGP of 3 seasons ago back next year! COYB!
That is great news Morten really pleased you are staying and you are a genuine Rover!!
Enjoy your break away i hope you have a lovely time with friends and family.
See you soon. COYB xx
U R A Club Legend
Glad to hear that you are hoping to see your contract through, but I guess that will be dependant on who may be interested in you. Hope you do stay though. Loyalty is rare in football. Hope you have a great summer break and hope to see you at away games next season (wont be doing home games for obvious reasons) Take care xxxx
Thank you thank you. That was such brilliant news to hear you are staying with Rovers. Fantastic. Enjoy your break and roll on the pre season friendlies!
How refreshing to hear a football player being loyal to the club he plays for,
Mind you Shearer once said this…..
I hope you do stay Morten cos i love watching you play (plus yr FIT)
Looking forward to seeing you in blue n white soon xxxxxx
love the loyalty but if I were you I wouldn’t want anything to do with Steve Kean and Venkys, and just leave. But hey…I’ll be happy to see you put on the Rovers shirt again next season!!
Morten PLEASE DON’T STAY AT BLACKBURN!!!
Support!!Enjoy your holiday!!
Great to hear this. I believe you can put this club to its place (Premiership, of course). I hope you can score loads of goal next season

KEAN OUT. AGNEW OUT. VENKY’S OUT.
If you want to see something funny and have access to You Tube, type in ” Steve Kean.” You ‘ll see some hilarious videos - especially the 2 which are obviously extracts from a German film about Hitler. Someone has put really funny sub titles on, relating to Mr. Kean. Maybe it’s time we all had something to make us laugh, for a change! Hope you enjoy them, Morten, although I don’t think you’ll be able to comment!
Good on you for staying at Blackburn. I don’t think anyone can compare your situation to that of Shearer though; he only left to return to his hometown club. I hear Leon Best is joining Rovers. He’s a great lad with a strong work ethic, and he was a great partner to Demba Ba early last season. I hope he does well for you - I’m sure he will.
Heya i抦 for the first time here. I came across this board and I find It really useful & it helped me out a lot. I hope to give something back and help others like you helped me.
