Liverpool at Ewood Park
Today we face Liverpool at Ewood Park, and both teams need the points awarded in this game. But if we are struggling, it seems like Liverpool are struggling even more. We have got more points than them after Christmas, and they have an important cup game against Everton in mind. This season we haven’t gotten a single thing for free, everything we do feels like it hits on the wrong side of the post. We know that very well, and we are working harder than ever to get what we need to survive. And just when it seemed that we would be able to get a gap down to our rivals in the relegation battle Liverpool managed to lose to two of our biggest rivals and let them right back in the game again. So we have absolutely something to avenge Liverpool for today. COYB

Another disappointing night at Ewood, how can we not beat Liverpools reserves and they only had 10 men for most of the match.
Shocking defending for the first 2 goals , why did the defence not get back to cover, I know Bellamy is fast but surely he should not have been given so much space all night.
We looked nervous and were far too slow to build an attack and get forward, the fans called for Rochina but he was poor and his efforts on goal lacked power.
More tough games to follow for Rovers, need the sides around us to get beat tonight to bring back some hope.

I’ll admit your recent outfield play has not been as good as it can be, but when it comes to set pieces, no one else comes close to the type of delivery you can do. He has completely destroyed a solid top 10 side, There is only a few players I would say actually care about the state the club is in (You,Robbo,Dunn,Orr and Lowe) But I have a feeling you, Robbo, Lowe and Orr will leave us next season. Very disappointing not to see you on the field, Morten. What on earth was Mr Kean thinking? There were a couple of situations that were just screaming for a MGP long kick at goal. As it was, these failed pretty badly.
Yesterday’s results went badly as far as BR are concerned, but still a few games and points to be had.
Hope to see you chosen in the next game because you deserve to be and Mr Kean has to realise just how much the majority love their most faithfully serving and sincere Norwegian Guy!

Went to the game yesterday…we were absolutely shocking!! What bothers me the most is the lack of fight, passion and spirit. There is obviously something going on in the dressing room as not one of those players were fighting for each other, and certainly not for the fans. Dunn and Robbo are the only ones that deserve to wear the famous blue and white halves and the only ones I would be sad to see leave. Me and my mum made a 500 round trip yesterday to watch a team of ‘professional’ footballers not even bother to turn up. I would even go as far as to say that you are trying to deliberately get us relegated. I went to West Brom last week and that was embarrassing but this was even worse!

My heart goes out to Blackburn Rovers and it’s loyal fans and players, especially dear Morten.
If Morten is giving his very best, then no one can ask more of him. There is nothing wrong with sharing smiles with fellow footballers. We are human beings before our professions.
A few more games, points up for the winning. Let’s cheer the Blues on as I know the loyal fans will, despite being very disappointed. IF there are any issues within the team and/or club , then try and put these to one side and play your hearts out.

Thank you, Stig. I was just going to say that bad language won’t help the situation and that children may read this blog. A very sad situation. I feel that most of the blame should lie with Venky’s. Maybe they’ve been badly advised , not sure a what the problem is, although it may be financial? What we need now is people to fight for the club, not condemn individual players, especially Morten, who’s very loyal.
all is not lost, Qpr have terrible fixtures and wigans dont look great either, we need to beat wigan and norwich and get atleast a point at one of the big grounds by my reckoning

I know we are all frustated with the results and the prospect that we are going down… but Morten laughing with that player would have made any difference to the final score? I really don’t believe that in the 90 minutes of game, Morten had thought about chatting with that player or making his life easier, but instead i believe he was trying to do the best for our team! Are you criticizing him because he had fairplay attitude?
About our bad performances, please don’t come here and say he played bad. You’re free to criticize the team, so go for a Rovers forum and criticize the players you want, there is the right place for that… just don’t come here to say “Morten, you’re bad” because that seems that we lost because of him and the other 10 players who performed were magnificent! And we know they were not…
Morten isn’t the only player of the team and he doesn’t deserve to be judged this way because someone is upset about Rover’s results and wants to blame someone. Morten deserves wearing the Rovers shirt and we should all be proud of having him in our team. He has helped the team and he is an important member of it.

Some of the comments on here a pretty childish… However, I’ve been a Rovers fan since I was a kid, 35 now. I have never truly believed we will go down til this season. I don’t believe Venkys have a clue what they are doing and aren’t prepared to accept it. They have no genuine interest in football and need to go. Taking their yes-man with them. What they have brought about is going to be disastrous for Rovers and for the town itself. The time has come for the players (and I include Morten in this) to speak out. We deserve to know what is going on. We pay their wages and we turn up to watch. I have a lot of respect for a player willing to stick their head above the parapet in a public way with a blog like this and be honest if he has a bad game etc. I know they get a hell of a lot of money to play, but as anyone knows to play a sport well you have to have your head in the right space. That isn’t something you can just turn on, there are no two ways about it. Humans are not robots. So tell us Morten, wtf is going on? Please. Something has to change.

I reckon Pedersen will have had enough soon, if so called fans on this board wont stop their bad behaviour soon. Enough is enough. Its fair to have your say as a paying customer, but please direct that to people responsible for the mess BRFC is in at the moment (owners for example).
As an employee (Pedersen) you will not make your thoughts as known as if you were a customer (fans), especially if it is bad words. Whatever Pedersen thinks about what is going on at BRFC at the moment, we will never know. He might feel bad at times as well, but he is absoloutely right to be as safe on what he is saying as he seems to be. Public critisism of BRFC or the club owners will be the last thing anyone needs. He will be gone, and fans will get no more than a backing for their own thoughts. It is a lot of things going wrong at the club at the moment(uncertain future, fans protest, bad publicity from inside (owners) and outside (fans, media)), but for all this the club is still doing allright. All we can ask for is Peds to give his all every match, and I think no one can fault him on this one. So please be aware of what you say on this board and support the team (and Peds) rather than using bad language from the comfortable seat you are sitting in at your living room.

Yeah I think this blog has gone a little downhill. I used to love it when it was more than just about Morten the footballer; strange stories, recipes (ice cream!!!), funny/insightful (albeit politically correct) accounts, photos/videos. Now it seems to consist of ‘we have xxx team next’ and a post on the game on the few occasions we win. Make no mistake I admire Morten as a man and as a footballer but I think this blog needs livening up a bit!

As a lifelong Rover it is hard watching our club die a slow and painful death under the current owners and manager.However, the players must also take a share of the blame. I for one have always respected the way in which YOU are one of the few highly paid Rovers players who always comes to applaud the fans at away games. We pay good money to follow you all over the country and always give our full support. All we ask in return is that the 11 players who represent a town and its people play with passion and commitment. Today’s performance was nothing short of disgraceful, as were the performances at Cardiff City, Swansea, Bolton etc this season. With all due respect I think the time has come for you and your colleagues to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask some searching questions. We will be here long after you and the current crop of mercenaries who disguise themselves as professional footballers jump ship during the summer transfer window. Despite this, I would like to personally thank you for the good memories you have given us over the years (I was at the FA Cup tie against Cardiff when you bagged your first Rovers goal) and at many wonderful European nights at Ewood and abroad but cannot forgive the lack of fight and passion you lot have shown in recent weeks. Complete capitulation by the players today. Not a single goal attempt, and the most sickening thing is none of you looked like you even gave a damn. No fight, no desire.
Yet your travelling fans gave a damn - always holding out hope, to make the long trip to London to get behind their team.
And today they were pissed on. My heart goes out to them. Once the majority of the senior players are off to other clubs and more lucrative contracts it’s US, the fans, that are left picking up the pieces of a once great club staring into the abyss.

You will always be a Rovers legend to me and most Rovers fans, I sincerely believe you love the club and have the best intentions at heart. Our helplessness is being manifested in many ways and multiple mediums, this is just another way of people venting as we love our club as much as you. I know being a footballer you are probably quite thick skinned so peoples individual abuse on here is something you can ignore but it must sadden you as much as it does me. I know you have responded on here before you dont have to go into specifics at all but it you could let us know how you are feeling at the moment that would be great. We all are clinging on to the hope we can pull off a miracle and we are all passionate about the Rovers, some people feel that the only way they can express that is through anger
and that is not right so please dont let the insults affect you. If all people want to do is spout negativity and insults I am not surprised you have lost interest in posting on here as well. I will always remember the good times and if that is all that is left than I am devastated as much as anyone else is on here. Players need a manager who can motivate them, give them confidence and organise them. Many fans seem to expect them to do that themselves because they’re paid a lot but thats very rarely gonna work against opposition who are also paid a lot but have a decent manager as well.
Ok the players could be getting stuck in a bit more and laughing a bit less but I’d stick about 20% of the blame on them at most. So about 2% on Pedersen. But because he has a website and communicates with fans and Venkys, Kean and the other players don’t, he gets all the stick? Its not right, especially some of the more vitriolic posts on here. Grow up please.

First time posting on this website, MGP has been my favourite Rovers player for many years now and remains so. He deserves to play in the Premiership next season and sadly I don’t think it will be with Blackburn. Obviously would love to see Pedersen remain at Ewood and fight for our return but I will hold no grudges, nobody has the right to do that.
The fat lady sang yesterday Morten and Stig and effectively Blackburn Rovers, the once proud club from a little town in the North West of England were relegated. Do you know that we are the only town team to win the EPL? The traditions of supporting Rovers is passed from generation to generation and the pride in our local team is one of the most important things in peoples lives. Jack Walker is a living legend for what he did for the town of Blackburn, he put us on the map and I will never, ever forget winning the EPL and the scenes after. The celebrations went on for weeks, local businesses reported increases in productivity and it was primarily down to one man. After the last 18 months we have had to endure poor management (on and off the field), a complete lack of passion from the players (particularly in the last few weeks) and the way we have been treated by the owners and manager has been scandalous. The owners have shown no desire to change the manager, they have reneged on promises and generally have tarnished the good name of Blackburn Rovers but more importantly the memory of Jack Walker. The manager is hopelessly out of his depth and I wish him all the ill luck in the world for his part in our demise. So forgive me Morten if I am not in a party mood tonight, if I don’t cheer and support the team and get behind ‘the lads’. My energies will be focused on the manager who, I promise will receive as much vitriol as I can possibly manage. And if the owners can be bothered turning up the will get the same. I sincerely hope this applies to 20000 other Rovers fans. And the players aren’t blameless here neither. So don’t bother with a lap of ‘honour’ or patronise us with the false applause at the end of the game. Just go home and reflect on the damage caused to MY club and then go and find yourself another club.

Listen guys, I’m as frustrated as you all are. But it is not over till the fat lady sings. We are 6 points off safety with a game in hand tonight and -6 goal difference to that of Wigan and QPR. We play Wigan tonight and a win by 2/3 goals will put us in a position for the game at Chelsea where a win will keep us up.
QPR are playing Man City last day and I predict they all get destroyed as Man City seal the title so their goal difference is shot. Bolton are in the same position as us but away at Stoke and a much worse goal difference. Wigan will be safe as a win against Wolves on last day, probably a draw will seal their staying in the league.
Therefore, stop moaning! Nothing we can do now apart from take each game as it comes. We can’t sack Kean or change ownership as would be pointless now. So get behind the team! A win tonight and a win at Chelsea will keep us in the league if the predictable happens and QPR loose to Man City. Even is Bolton win as well away at Stoke the goal difference will see us remaining in the top flight. A win away at Chelsea is a hard task but stranger things have happened, especially with rested players for the champions league final COYB

Tony, I can assure you I’m as angry about the Steve Kean situation as you are. I do not intend to or ever have happy clapped Kean or the players. Call me old fashioned but I believe that as passionate supporters it is our duty to back the team until the end, regardless of the outcome. I do honestly believe we have a major chance of winning this evening but obviously that leads to a massive challenge against Chelsea. If we loose tonight a lot of frustration will be vented but if we win we owe it to the future of our club to give us the best chance possible in the final game regardless of the chances of success.
I admire your optimism mate but do you really think Kean can set up a team to beat Wigan? There have been too many games this season when his team selection/tactics and substitutions have left a lot to be desired and almost certainly cost us points. He keeps harping on about beating Man Utd but to put that into perspective Ferguson played virtually a second string and he also talks about the draw at Anfield. That’s what it was - a draw not a win. He is a deluded fool and tonight I hope he gets everything that is due to him with interest.

Look at Newcastle, they had a mare of a season like you have but have returned as a huge, powerful team! Quite simply Rovers haven’t been good enough this year and need 4 or 5 new players, quality players, which Venkys don’t seem able to do.

Thank you Matt. I think that we’ve all seen this coming, to be honest. I did hear Kean’s comments. Venky’s should take the blame, they haven’t invested in the club, made false promises, not communicated with the fans, utter disgrace. They should never have been allowed to buy Rovers. What we can blame Kean for, is that he didn’t resign. He must have realised that he was not up to the job. I fear for the club’s future under the current regime! We do need new owners and manager. What we don’t need are more false promises. Let’s hope the club can rebuild but it will be hard. I’m so sorry for the players, I hope they can keep positive and stay and fight next season to get us back in the Premiership. Oh, and I hope the port chicken is all right, she must have been petrified!

The harsh fact is the team is relegated, even the most optomistic fan couldn’t really have thought we were going to get out of that situaution yesterday. The sad thing is that with all best intentions the players aren’t going to stay. And I would wish any of them all the very best wherever they may play next year. The people who dont want the venky’s and kean at the club need to seriously think about when or if they buy another ticket. By paying to watch them all you are doing is lining the pockets of those you don’t want to be there. I for one will go and watch my team with whichever players will remain but not at ewood. I will travel to watch and support them away from home. Its very sad to see a club so demorailsed. A once proud club a founder of the whole footballing set up within this country.
Morten, I think you have been a most loyal servant to our club and I am sure you will remain in the hearts of fans forever. I have a feeling you will stay but in away I think you should go. to anyone trying to defend steve kean by claiming he’s done the best he can with what he’s had to work with and asking who else could do better, well someone already has. his name was big sam and he had this club mid-table before kean took over. i’m sure kean is a great person, that’s probably why some of the players stick up for him and back him so much. but being a good person isn’t enough when managing a club. you need to be a good manager with good tactics and decision-making of which kean has neither. why he doesn’t see what’s happened to the club since he’s taken over and why he doesn’t resign i have no idea. he’s only hurting this club by staying on. i can see he’s trying to put on a brave face but who’s he trying to be brave for? nobody wants him here, except maybe bradley orr?
its a time to reflect. i stuck with Kean as the players seemed to be giving their all, then came the Bolton game and everyone since watching both home and away lack of effort and commitment and little skill, with poor tactics and team selection plus unsurpassed optimism based on nothing, sorry but time to go Steve, doubt venkys will sack you but do the right thing and walk. i for one would back Lee Clark and his team to bring some pride back, we have lots of substandard players to shift and will lose our hero Robbo. Maybe Morten is keeping quiet because he is just like us and has no idea what is going on at the club.Hopefully once kean gets sacked or moved to another position in the club [i suggest toilet attendant] then we will get some news from Morten.
SK is removed from the manager post but still with BRFC? Anyway, i really hope that our player still have heart at Rovers. It is good if Venky willing to sell our club to the more “fit & proper owner”. Morten, dun worry, most of supporter did not blame players 100%. Let us try to emulate West Ham and bounce back to BPL.

Morten, jeg håper at dersom du får et bedre tilbud fra en klubb som ikke er like kokos som vår om dagen, at du kanskje tar bladet fra munnen og snakker om litt av hva som har foregått i klubben det siste halvannet år. Vi Blackburn supportere som har fulgt klubben i snart 20 år selv her fra Norge, mister interesse for klubben pga den stand Kean og Venkys har etterlatt den..
Som sagt, håper det kommer ut noe snart, for vi som supportere er sultefora på nyheter fra klubben. Gi oss lillefingern!
