Nå har skuffelsen etter cupexiten mot Cardiff City lagt seg, hvert fall sånn noenlunde. Jeg vet ikke helt hva jeg skal si egentlig, bortsett fra unnskyld. Jeg mistet ballen på en utrolig klønete måte som førte til deres første mål, og det tar jeg helt og holdent på min kappe. Det vil jeg beklage til alle som er involvert i Rovers på noen som helst måte, og jeg vil spesielt beklage over for supporterene våre. Jeg har et inderlig ønske om å hjelpe Blackburn Rovers til en finale, derfor føles det ekstra tungt at jeg ikke gjorde det bedre i den situasjonen. Nå er det serien som får vår fulle oppmerksomhet, og jeg er glad det ikke sto om poeng i denne kampen.

I salute you Morten it takes a real man to front up and apologize like that. Actually, there’s no need to apologize in my opinion. It’s football and players will lose the ball at times. Unlucky it led to a goal but hey ho. Yet again I must stress we are all behind you players and always will be, especially those like yourself who show real pride in our beloved Rovers. By the way do whatever it takes for 3 points saturday be it a cheeky corner or whatever!
I was at the game, it was my first rovers game in a good few years. I was incredibly dissapoonted that we lost but even more disappointed in the way our ‘manager’ went about things. A total lack of respect for the poor fans who travelled down from Lancashire, spending a good part of a weeks wages. I don’t blame you at all, or any rovers players for that matter. Just a bit gutted. You shouldn’t have to appologise morten, me and the rest of the fans cheered you on and appreciated that you were the last rovers player on the pitch and came to wave goodbye. It takes a big man to do that after a defeat like that.
Keep your head up, force out that ridiculous excuse for a manager and stay in this league! Please!

P.s I work in Nandos Swansea and we get the swansea players in every day, I told them today I was a rovers fan and we were gonna take it to them!! Don’t make me look stupid haha

Gamst, please inform the 16 players who are involved on Saturday that we are 100% behind them and always will be. Saturday will see all rovers supporters come together to try and save our club before STeve Kean and the venkys destroy it. It won’t be pleasant at all but please ensure the players do get the message we are doing it for the club. Rovers till I die… 100% rovers 0% kean & venkys
it isnt really your fault, since when are you considered to be a ball winning centre midfielder(just like steve kean is not a manager!!!), its just not what your about and you shouldnt have been played in that position, very big of you to apologise though.
You’re a gent MGP and the fans respect you for that. Brace yourself for Saturday though, the calls for a sacking will be enormous. Please understand that we are 100% behind an honest bunch of pro’s who are doing their best at the moment with very little direction. This hasn’t changed and won’t change in the future. All the fans frustrations are aimed at the manager and the owners who have failed the fans miserably. I hope you and the rest of the squad can understand that. It’s very difficult to accept the heart and soul being ripped out of our club and we need to air our grievances for the greater future of the club.

We are 100% behind you players and we hope, in our wanting better from the owners and management, you aren’t all suffering.

Please tell the rest of the players that the “Cauldron of Hate” that will be Ewood on Saturday, is aimed purely at Kean and Venkys….NOT at the players!

morten, it’s things like this that are what make you my favorite footballer. you don’t need to apologize and yet you still do. just go out on saturday, play hard and score a goal. nothing else matters to me anymore at this point. be a leader and show the rest of the players and management/owners how the blackburn of old played!
It’s tough to play when your manager is a cr@p. He is totally useless and the team can just play in a very, very tough situation. No one is hopeful under his management, even Robbie Savage said he must go.
You dont have to apologize on your own web page, especially as you have won many games for us over the years in your proper position. It is always a pleasure to read what you write whether at home or on international duty. The game was there to be won but the manager didnt see it like that. Playing one up front for so long and then two in the last ten minutes proves it. Could have led to some excitement for the fans with a cup semi-final….something thats been distinctly lacking in the last 12 months.
As always a true gent Morten, you are completely blue and all you do is for the good of the club. You are a role model setting a fine example. COYB

I’d like to praise you firstly for your honesty, but secondly i noticed you were one of only 2 players to come and clap the fans, i see you as a fan as well of a player and because of this any mistake you might make now and again can be overseen, pass my praise on to the players during this time. Oh, and tell steve kean that he’s a nob, thanks.

Mistakes happen, the fans can see you clearly care about the club and you give everything each game. We’ll be 100% behind you and the other players again today. Hopefully the present situation at the club can be sorted out sooner rather than later.
i think you the players should join our protest and stop playing for 5 minutes of a games or do a kean and “forfeit” the match bald headed plonker

Well done for apologising Morten. I was at the game and took time off work and only three hours sleep before going back to work so I wasn’t best pleased with the performance. As if to rub our noses in the dirt the managers comment of ‘forfeiting’ the game did little to lighten my mood. Your apology has gone a long way to redeeeming yourself and I applud you for that - if only our manager could have been as humble and honest.
